Author’s Note: This is my personal tribute to my friend and longtime co-star Jeanna Fine (born Angelique Michelle Payson Bernstein). She was an American adult film actress and dancer who appeared in nearly 500 films between 1986 and 2002. Jeanna was born on September 29, 1964, in New York, and passed away from heart failure on November 7, 2025, in Troy, New York. She was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 1997. The following are my memories of her life, her talent, and our time together on set.
How do you best memorialize a legend? I’ve been struggling with that question for days now. The adult entertainment world said goodbye to one of its most captivating stars this month. Jeanna Fine, born on September 29, 1964, in New York City, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 61. To say she will be sorely missed by friends, family and former colleagues – is the understatement of the decade.
After a dozen phone calls incoming and outgoing, we slowly became certain that our own Jeanna, that wild-hearted vixen who lit up screens and souls alike, had slipped away from us.
“It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our beloved Angelique “angel” Michelle Payson Bernstein on November 7, 2025, due to heart failure…. Though her life took many turns, she faced each chapter with boldness and heart. In the early years, Angel moved to California, where she found success and fame in the adult film industry in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, something she never shied away from and that she still claimed many fans from many decades later.”
Jeanna would talk about growing up now and then – stories thick with detail, the kind that put you on those streets with her. Flushing, Queens to be exact. New York shaped her, obviously. She chased things with this iron-headed refusal to back down. The setbacks she’d muscled past, the goals she’d hunted until they were hers – she’d lay it all out, and suddenly your own hang-ups felt smaller, more manageable.
A Friendship Spanning Decades
I was a mix of shattered, heartbroken, and devastated when I got the news two weeks ago. It’s taken me that long to pull together to pay tribute here on my site. She was not only my longtime co-star but more, importantly, a friend.
First Victoria, then Sally, and now Jeanna. What the fuck, life? Do I cry Uncle? Universe: please stop!
Jeanna and I shared a professional respect that grew into a lasting friendship, even as our lives pulled us in different directions. The years would fade away the moment we reconnected, whether at industry events or just catching up over the phone.
A Golden Era Legend
Jeanna wasn’t just another performer – she was a force of nature who left an indelible mark on the “golden age of porn.” She was an adult star’s adult star, as they say. What set Jeanna apart wasn’t just her slender figure or the signature short haircuts later in her career – though there was something enticingly scorching about her look that drew people in. It was the raw, unfiltered intensity she brought to every performance. Critics and fans alike noted how she could channel sexuality in a way that felt almost animalistic, genuine, and overwhelming.
Her performances weren’t just acted – they were felt, often reducing her to tears as she approached climax, a vulnerability that made her scenes remarkable. And that voice! Oh, that deep, sexy voice. It would have entire sets watching from off camera.
Our Early Days on Set
I worked with Jeanna on several major films starting in the mid-1980s. Our first collaboration was in Hypatia Lee’s 1986 film Wild Wild West, where I believe I was part of her very first girl-girl scene. She was also in my film 976-Lynn around that same period.
She was incredibly nervous that day, calling me “Ms. Lynn” at first, which tapped into her submissive side. I went with that energy and spanked her during the scene, which sent her into a frenzy. The result was a standout moment – she often shared the story throughout her career that I “broke her G/G cherry,” and it set the tone for our mutual respect as colleagues and friends.
What an actress she was. One of the best in the entire history of the industry. Jeanna was an exceptional performer, completely immersing herself in her roles. She embodied her characters with a raw intensity that felt genuine, drawing from deep emotion that left lasting impressions.
The Time She Got Behind the Camera
What a lot of people don’t know – and what I think speaks volumes about who she really was – is that Jeanna didn’t just perform. She wrote and directed.
In 1990, she stepped behind the camera for No Man’s Land 4: Hot Rocks for Video Team. An all-girl feature. She cast it, she called the shots, she was in it. The whole thing. I wasn’t on that one, but I heard about it. The word on set was that she ran a tight ship – knew exactly what she wanted and got it. That didn’t surprise me one bit.
It was the only time she directed. But the fact that she did it at all – at 25, in 1990, in this industry – says everything about the kind of woman she was. She wasn’t just showing up. She was building something, considering her future.
Later Collaborations and Shared Moments
We had more great cinematic adventures together. In 1995, marking my comeback, she played my lesbian wife as part of Vivid’s iconic series in Where the Boys Aren’t 6, a project that brought Jeanna Fine back into the spotlight with strong chemistry and co-stars like Janine, Julia Ann and Sarah Jane Hamilton.
We also teamed up in 2002’sNo Man’s Land: Legends for a three-way all-girl scene with former Playboy Playmate Teri Weigel, which generated real heat and connected with fans on a deep level.
One of the heavier moments we shared was when she called me after Savannah’s suicide. Jeanna blamed herself, and I often wonder what might have changed if she hadn’t reached out that day – her grief was tremendous and I will never forget that conversation. She had immense vulnerability off-screen, beyond the confident performer everyone saw.
Her Talent and Legacy
What made Jeanna stand out wasn’t just her many eras and looks. She was a tempest, who brought unfiltered passion to every performance. Critics and fans noted how she channeled sexuality in an animalistic, overwhelming way. Between 1986 and 2002 she appeared in nearly 500 titles, earned a spot in both the AVN Hall of Fame and the XRCO Hall of Fame, and won multiple annual Best Actress awards.
I was in just a precious few of those 500 titles. Too few, but as one of the best-known adult film actresses myself, I think I can get away with saying this on behalf of every “porn star” who ever worked with the almighty Jeanna Fine: It was an absolute honor we will all treasure.
Beyond the camera, Jeanna showed her intelligence through her sex advice column in Hustler magazine, offering insights into the emotional side of desire that resonated. She was unapologetically authentic in an industry that sometimes lacked it, inspiring performers (like me) to embrace our craft.
The tributes pouring in reflect how much she meant to us all. I’ll remember her fondly and miss her deeply – the industry has truly lost a legend.
Rest in peace, Jeanna. Your impact endures in the work we created, and the many lives you touched.

As I told you: Things are about to get a lot more interesting. I just wrapped filming on a scorching new adult comedy in Vegas!
While my mainstream roles are the main focus as of late, this film was a welcome return to form. To be back on-set with my peers in the adult industry – what a rush. It may be time to circle back around (if you know what I mean).
On July 24th, I strutted onto a glittering resort set for our spicy remake of “The Nanny,” reimagined as “The Naughty Nanny”. Think Fran Drescher vibes with a pinch more sass, and a lot more… hardcore sex?
Picture me as the grand diva of the resort, a glamorous mother-in-law, and full-blown yenta, holding court and stirring up trouble – all in true Amber Lynn style.
The entire cast, however, was full of star power and big personalities. The gorgeous TS superstar Ariel Demure shines as our feature lead – and let me tell you – she brings the perfect dose of cheeky charm and naughty wit.
I make a guest star appearance, and rest assured there were some hot, hot moments that made me look forward to a potential complete Amber Lynn comeback even more. And, I think I looked great in my skimpy bikini.
Also joining us on screen: the radiant Taylor Vixen and ever-sultry Brittany Andrews. Pull up a lounge chair – because I can confirm that Brittany and Ariel heat things up all over the set. My role as the family matriarch gave the character all the license to gossip, plot, and throw shade in the most fabulous ways.
This movie set felt like a playful return to classic over-the-top x-rated comedies from my past. With extravagant hair, juicy dialogue/lines, and the kind of energy only a wild cast of adult stars can deliver. Although, the $51 brisket could have used an acting coach.
Amber Lynn Parodies – A Memory Lane of Fun
Working on this film reminded me of certain similar (and fun) films from my past. Where the lines between naughtiness, humor, and a good old fashioned spoof were definitely blurred. Technically they’re not all parodies, but I’m sure I can be forgiven:
The Erotic Adventures of Dickman & Throbbin‘ (1986) – As Brooke, I winked my way through a caped-crusader spoof while Joanna Storm and Jessica Wylde sent the camp meter soaring from tease to kaboom in record time.
End of Innocence (1986) – Halo off, heels on, I traded smirks with Sharon Mitchell while Angel Kelly and Jeanette Littledove delivered each of their lines with ridiculous sensuality.
Jane Bond Meets Octopussy (1986) – As the deadliest flirt in a 007 send-up, I traded sly smiles with Blondi Bee while Mauvais DeNoire strutted in like a femme-fatale punchline with perfect timing.
Miami Spice (1986) – As Jennifer, I went neon-undercover with Barbara Dare while Sheri St. Claire backed my badge and banter, and Porsche Lynn slid in for the sun-kissed Miami Vice parody finish.
Chastity and the Starlets (1986) – Playing hostess-with-the-mostest, I cued the mischief as Taija Rae glided through the spotlight with wink-wink reveals.
Amber Lynn Hot Line 976 (1987) – I purred into the receiver while Jeanna Fine turned prank-call fantasies into full-blown confessions with lipstick-slick punchlines.
Corporate Asset$ (1985) – Power suits and hotter motives, I leaned femme-fatale while Rachel Ashley and Tish Ambrose helped turn hostile takeovers into hot takeaways.
Dear Fanny (1985) – I penned a naughty valentine to misbehavior as Nikki Randall, Lois Ayres and Gina Carrera added sugar-and-spice contrast to every cheeky confession.
Amber’s Desires (1985) – I chased cravings like a kitten after cream while Mai Lin dialed up the heat and the humor in every saucy turn.
Dangerous Women (1986) – I sharpened stilettos and punchlines alongside Nina Hartley and the almighty Sharon Mitchell, serving bad-girl glam with vice-flavored verve.
Erotic City (1985) – Neon beats and club-lit mischief as Joanna Storm and Laurie Smith helped me purr through each vignette and seduce the spotlight on cue.

Adult Movie Legend Amber Lynn to Appear at Exxxotica Miami HOLLYWOOD, CA – Adult star Amber Lynn will make a rare appearance at next week’s Exxxotica Expo in Miami. The event runs from Jun 27–29, 2025.
Lynn will meet with show attendees at the Adult Performer Artists Guild (APAG) booth, where she will be available for photos, to sign merchandise and greet fans of her 40-year career. She also represents APAG as its Sergeant-at-Arms.
“In the past year, I’ve done a few appearances at shows like Exxxotica and it’s been wonderful to see friends, longtime fans, new fans, and fellow performers, so I’m excited to go to Miami and see everyone. Hopefully, I’ll get some time poolside in my bikini,” Lynn said.
“It’s interesting at these shows to see how much the industry has changed and evolved since when I was first in the business,” she added. “Everyone has been great, and it’s really special to see my fans that have followed me though everything and then meet new fans who are just getting to know me.”
The former figure model began her adult career with nude photoshoots for classic men’s magazines including Penthouse, Chic, High Society, and Club. Lynn eventually was crowned the first official Hustler Honey of the Year, featured on the cover iconic Hustler magazine’s 1991 Holiday issue.
Her first onscreen appearance was in 1983, in Bobby Hollander’s Personal Touch 3, and since then Lynn has garnered multiple industry awards, lifetime achievement awards, and is a double Hall of Famer (AVN, XRCO). In addition to her movie career, Lynn was a sought-after feature dancer at clubs including NYC’s Goldfingers.
A star since the classic Boogie Nights era, Lynn has also been recognized in mainstream entertainment and pop culture at large.
Mainstream credits include roles in Evils of the Night (1985), director John Frankenheimer’s 52 Pick-Up (1986), as well as on Comedy Central’s The Man Show. She also was featured in documentary After Porn Ends (2012) and appeared in documentary Larry Flynt for President (2021).
Lynn was referenced on the NBC’s Seinfeld, in Season 3, “Episode 10: The Stranded,” and also had a cameo role in Lionsgate’s Who’s Jenna…? (2018). More recently, she was featured as Michael Douglas’ character’s “Fantasy Lady” in The Kominsky Method (2019) and she also had a tribute mention in the final episode of HBO’s The Deuce (2019).
Always a fan favorite, Lynn hinted at projects on the horizon, aimed at updating her large catalog of work. “I’m on OnlyFans, of course, and I get a lot of comments that say they’d like to see me in some new content, which is very flattering! It’s been a little while since I was on a set, but you never know…”

After a crazy year reconnecting with everyone – at events like the Exxxotica Expo, the Hollywood Show Fan Expo, EXXXotica Chicago, the XRCO awards, other convention touring, movie premieres… I have felt the love.
I realize have missed the industry. And am now ready to pose the question… am I also about to make a comeback?

The Moment It Hit Me
Suddenly, when walking into EXXXotica Chicago 2025 – it felt like coming home.
The energy at Booth #924? Electric. Fans sharing stories about how my work affected their love lives? Humbling. One couple even brought a VHS copy of Hot Tails for me to sign. My mind started racing, and hasn’t stopped since.

It’s Keeping Me Up at Night
In the past year, I’ve once again gotten to spend time with Tyffany Million. I’ve seen and had a sassy conversation with Sean Michaels. I’ve meandered around with Mickey Lynn and Maria May. And that’s the tip of the iceberg, as I have been getting back into the whole scene, all year.
There are old friends I have shared stages, sets, and more than a few laughs with over our storied careers. Sean and I have performed together and even sat down for an interview to recount our past adventures. And Tiffany? She’s been my girl for many moons. And this year I’ve also met younger performers with a mutual interest in new opportunities.

OK. It’s official – I’m game. But when I do, it won’t be some half-assed “Hey, remember the ’80s?” parody. It will be the right project, with the right co-stars, the right studio and the right director – at the right time. Talk to my agent … while I take another cold shower.
For now, let’s just say I’m keeping my options open. But there are already things in play. The right script, the right team, the right moment—and you’ll be the first to know.

In 1986 I got a call from my agent that I had received an offer to appear in my first mainstream movie being directed by one of Hollywood’s most famous directors, John Frankenheimer.
It was to be the screen adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s acclaimed novel “52 Pick Up” and set to have the same name attached to the film. The film was to star just a few of Hollywood’s top actors of the 80’s; Roy Scheider, Ann-Margret, John Glover, Kelly Preston – (Travolta), & Vanity, who was dating Prince at the time.
This was, by far, the most extraordinary opportunity I had received outside of the adult film industry. To say I was excited is an understatement. I was flying high. Absolutely thrilled and ecstatic to be apart of something so cool, edgy, and popular with such an all-star level cast in the ranks. And myself among them. A true dream come true.
Yet despite this all I was still terribly nervous. I was exploding onto the scene of adult film like an atom bomb. Making my mark. And raising my game. I had a done a few mainstream films prior to this one, “Evils of The Night” with John Carradine and Julie Newmar two years earlier, but nothing at this level. And though I had acquired some serious credits as a mainstream model up until that point and had already been immersed in this world my head was still spinning.
Though I was only on set for a few days I had the pleasure of getting to know John Frankenheimer. A fantastic human and effervescent artist of the highest caliber. John did something for me on this film which had been unheard of for adult film stars prior. He Taft-Hartley’d me.
The act of providing a non-union actor the opportunity to be apart of the Screen Actors Guild by a producer is common place in the mainstream industry when the talent is desired for a certain project. But in the 80’s it was almost unheard of for an adult film actor or actress to acquire this type of privilege. This was huge for me and John was such a power of amazing to work with who had expressed to me that he was a big fan of my work which is why I was there to begin with.
Along with the distinct honor of working with John my scene work on the days I was on set were quite specifically a party scene where I was playing myself in the home of the character of Barbara Mitchell played by Ann-Margaret, who I had the joy of being introduced to. One of the most severely elegant and powerful actresses of all time in her own right as well as being the one of most illustrious sex-symbols of the 1960’s.
I also got to meet John Glover, a chameleon of magnanimous acting proportions while being equally and thoroughly a generous gentleman to me and so many others, and to add to this point of beauty I also became best friends with the phenom known as Vanity, the Canadian model and lead singer of an all girl band known as Vanity 6, that day which lasted many years after until her untimely passing in 2016.
In the scene that I have spoken of I will say this. It was a party. A wild one. And I was one of the wild and free party goers. And being that type of wild and uninhibited type of party goers that John was looking for in this particular scene I did something extraordinary for the times. And when I say times I mean the 80’s.
I flashed my boobs.
In 1986 to flash one’s boobs on screen was unheard of. Something that is considered absolutely nothing to the “general audiences” of to date. But back then this was beyond the curve of what they expected or accepted in the world of mainstream cinema that was to be seen in all the drive-in’s. It was bold. It was flare. To some, it may have seemed to be what you’d call extraneous or gauche.
But taking that moment and doing what I did was extreme. It would become the moment where it was considered the flash that was seen and talked about around the world. And it made Amber Lynn instantly famous in a world I was not quite familiar with. I didn’t realize this because I was doing this daily in adult films. It was nothing to me. But it was everything to everyone else and their own.
I was an adult film star. Not a mainstream movie star. This moment brought me a tremendous amount of exposure that I wasn’t quite prepared for. But I embraced it with all my being. I’ve talked of moments. Moments in my life. Concise and poignant moments of clarity for me that encapsulate the energy I have felt over the years and energy I now still feel as I continue to write my autobiography. And my current flow energy as the moments from my past come into crystal clear acuity once again is 100% positive and fluid.
The time I spent on the set of “52 Pick Up” was brilliant. An extremely thrilling experience that I’ll never forget. And a time where I look back on as a pivotal moment in my career as a performer that elevated me rather than devalue me.

52 Pick-Up Reunion?
Update: It was recently announced that legendary actress, Ann-Margret, will be making an appearance this year! I can’t wait to say hello, and have a chat about 52-Pickup – the movie we appeared in together back in 1986 with Roy Scheider.
