Jason Heath runs a YouTube channel called Barefoot & Independent, and messaged me recently about an interview. He’s a film historian who treats lesser-known, cult, and even adult films as seriously as anything Oscar-nominated. And he wanted to feature Jane Bond Meets Golden Rod as part of his “Squeaky Clean Adult Films” series.
Squeaky clean means Jason carefully edits together a PG version, then we do an interview discussing the film and the shooting experience in detail. His enthusiasm was infectious, and I had to say yes. The result just premiered on YT an hour ago, and we hope everyone enjoys it!

Looking back, the fun we had probably explains the movie’s success. The cast was amazing – Krista Lane, Tiffany Storm, Bionca, Viper – all of them brought something to the sexy spy game. I remember spending time with Krista especially, who became this instant conspirator… the two of us wedged between takes trading gossip about absolutely nothing important.
Those conversations and escapades, during downtime when cameras aren’t running are what I always carry with me after a shoot. On Jane Bond 2, those connections made the whole thing feel less like work and more like building something together.
Director Jack Remy Was a Force of Nature
Tough doesn’t cover it – industry folks know his reputation – but the man possessed vision and wouldn’t let any of us coast through a single frame. One scene, he dragged us through maybe 20 takes hunting for this specific look between me and another actor, just getting the eyes right. It honestly felt like punishing overkill at the time.
Then I watched the final cut. And his drive to get that one part of one scene perfect made absolute sense.
He spotted things invisible to the rest of us, while creating the complete film. And I think my fans will enjoy watching this “reimagined” version, too. Hell, I think you’ll love all Jason’s “squeaky clean” adult film versions!
Phoning It In Wasn’t an Option
You needed legitimate acting ability back then, and had to deliver a line like you meant it. While constructing a character audiences could invest in emotionally, and not just parade around looking attractive. Though I’ll admit the bar for “legitimate acting” in adult films wasn’t exactly Meryl Streep territory – we’re talking competent line delivery and basic emotional awareness.
I really wanted that to come across in the interview with Jason, and he surprised me by asking things nobody else bothers with, skipping past the obvious sex stuff to dig into character motivation, what actually drove Jane Bond, what made her make the choices she made. Wait until you see what else we discussed – it felt like a genuine conversation. Not some checklist.
Hearing him call Jane Bond Meets Golden Rod an all-time favorite of his meant more than usual as a result. He even referenced a specific sequence – the hypnosis scene where I have to flip the script on a pair of assassins. I won’t ruin how it resolves, and have to wonder if I could nail the same line delivery today.
Barefoot and Independent Deserves Your Attention
Cult cinema fans need to check out all of Jason’s work. Initially the “Squeaky Clean” concept threw me – these are adult films, you know? But after talking with Jason, it clicked. He’s not hiding what they are. He’s spotlighting everything else – plot mechanics, comedic timing, actual performances. Preservation through a side door. Lets people experience the work we did stripped of one context, placed in another. Now, I think it’s an amazing idea.
